If you are interested in helping your chapter by becoming a board member, please contact Trudy at

  • News about former members of the Department of Nursing

Two Kappa Lambda members retired this spring from the Department of Nursing. Both have been very active in the chapter for many years. Dr. Mary McKelvey is well known by undergraduate and graduate students whom she taught. She served the campus and department on many committees. Mary came to Otterbein in 1984.
Trudy Mason came to campus in 1981 as the second supervisor of the skills lab, since the nursing program opened in 1978. She is responsible for designing the new nursing skills facilities that greeted students in January 2009. We wish both an enjoyable retirement.

A retired faculty member, Dr. Joan Pryor McCann, passed away on March 7, 2015 surrounded by family and care givers. Joan came to Otterbein in 1991. She was active previously in Epsilon chapter and served as president. Joan served Kappa Lambda as president-elect, president, and awards chairperson for several years.
